In July 2023, a procurement monitoring community platform was launched that will serve as a central repository for the efforts and knowledge of the ecosystem. The e-procurement system generated savings worth 485 billion tenge (~US$1 billion) in 2021, (calculated by the Center as the difference between the budget and awarded value).

On TenderNed’s website, they regularly publish insights into key issues, such as the top 10 innovation-friendly public buyers , most common purchases (using CPV codes) , and the substantial increase in hiring of consultancy firms. They used the data to address specific agencies, and posted about it on LinkedIn.

In the EU, the TED data was somewhat incomplete; for example, in 2022, about 75% of the 7,817 procurement notices contained technical criteria (the rest expressed these criteria in separate documents that would have needed to be downloaded from individual procurement authority’s websites), and only about 50% contained non-price award criteria.
