The Cabinet Office has advised that the go-live date for the Procurement Act 2023 has been delayed into 2025. We have now had official confirmation from the Cabinet Office that the go-live date for the Procurement Act 2023 will be delayed until 24 February 2025, almost a 4 month delay. The previous NPPS will be withdrawn.

When does the Procurement Act take effect? The Act was initially set to go live on 28 October 2024, but this has now been delayed to 24 February 2025. The postponement allows time for the government to finalise a new National Procurement Policy Statement to set out its procurement priorities.
