Publicprocurement should be all about people. We want to enable one billion people to live in more equitable, prosperous and sustainable communities by 2030 by improving US$2 trillion in publicprocurement spending. Our world runs on public contracts. It’s a means to an end, not an end in itself.
Sustainable government procurement is the process of acquiring goods and services that meet the government entity’s needs while minimizing environmental and social impacts. Publicprocurement is key to this endeavor because public institutions and state enterprises must procure vast amounts of goods, services, and works to do their jobs.
Our funding comes through the Scottish Government’s Climate Change Plan for net zero, with a commitment to invest £250 million to support the restoration of 250,000 hectares of peatlands by 2030. We will also be in person at the Meet the Buyer North event taking place on 12 September 2023 at Aberdeen Music Hall.
