Improving public procurement, which accounts for one in every three dollars spent by governments, is one of the core ways countries can do more with the same – or less. 10 years ago, we launched the Open Contracting Partnership from a single desk in snowy Washington DC with the grand ambition to transform public procurement, the world’s largest marketplace. We were never just after a bit more transparency though, we wanted to transform how procurement is done.
