Understanding the Fundamentals RFPs and RFQs are both tools used in government contracting, but they serve different purposes. An RFP is typically used for complex projects where the agency needs detailed proposals, while an RFQ is more suitable for simpler purchases where price is the primary factor.

During the event, attendees continued discussions from the Fall on what constitutes fair and reasonable pricing determinations and explored other critical topics like cybersecurity and protecting the Federal supply chain. The theme of the conference was “ What is Fair and Reasonable, Part 2: Let’s Continue the Dialogue!
These tables allow attendees to schedule one-on-one meetings with representatives from various GSA and VA program management offices throughout the conference. Pricing details included in the prospectus. Calculation data is due back to VA by mid-November, and 2025 contractpricing needs to be established in advance of January 1, 2025.
