Among the reform areas identified was the country’s publicprocurementsystem. The strategy outlined in the NACP aimed to establish a dedicated publicprocurement law and revamp existing procurement practices. But at the heart of this transformation lies the principle of transparency.
Publicprocurement is like the heartbeat of public spending in most of Africa – by some estimates, it accounts for 17% of the GDP of African Countries.
